On the morning of September 8th, the square of Yongjin Park in West Lake, Hangzhou was crowded with people. Right here, the torch relay of the Hangzhou Asian Games officially kicked off.

The torch of this Hangzhou Asian Games is named "Xinhuo" and is one of the important symbols of the Asian Games. Its design concept is derived from the Liangzhu culture of China's 5,000-year-old civilization. With its solemn and grand shape and profound meaning, it is passed from hand to hand by the torchbearers, showcasing the Chinese charm of this Asian Games to the world.

Starting from Hangzhou, the Asian Games torch will be passed through Huzhou, Jiaxing, Shaoxing, Ningbo, Zhoushan, Taizhou, Wenzhou, Lishui, Jinhua and Quzhou in sequence. Each city will be relayed for one day, and the torch will return to Hangzhou on September 20th to complete the final leg of the relay, with the sacred flame lit at the opening ceremony of the Hangzhou Asian Games.

On the first day of the torch relay in Hangzhou, 106 torchbearers set off from the square of Yongjin Park in West Lake, running along Nanshan Road, Hubin Road, Huancheng West Road and Beishan Street. They then entered Gushan Road from Xiling Bridge and ended their relay at Pinghu Qiuyue. The 5.2-kilometer relay covered the beautiful scenery of Hangzhou, which is "three sides of clouds and mountains and one side of the city".

In order to cheer for the torchbearers and support the Asian Games, 15 people from the Jiangnan Party Committee participated in the volunteer support service work for the Asian Games torch relay together with Lingyin Sub-district.
